RAP4 T68 SplitFire Receives Law Enforcement
Innovations Technology Award 2009

T68 SplitFire - Earning Awards...Earning Trust
RAP4 is proud to accept the Law Enforcement Innovations Technology Award
2009 for the revolutionary T68 SplitFire Less Lethal Launcher. The
SplitFire serves both training and practical roles, giving law
enforcement officers and military units a dynamic tool for tactical
simulation and less lethal field use.
The T68 SplitFire very closely mimics the M4 family of duty rifles, but
uses compressed air (or CO2) to propel standard .68 caliber marking
projectiles for safe, impressive field exercises. With the same heft,
ergonomics, natural point of aim, and most of the same controls, the T68
SplitFire helps your personnel train in the tactical use of an
M4...without any of the danger involved with live ammunition, blanks, or
otherwise handling firearms in training scenarios.
RAP4 offers a wide selection of .68 caliber marking, non-marking, and
tactical projectiles to use with your department's arsenal of T68
SplitFire Less Lethal Launchers. For training in borrowed facilities
where you can't leave behind a mess, there are powder-filled marking
balls or water balls, each of which give trainees negative reinforcement
when hit...but don't stain or otherwise permanently mark your training
environment.
For tactical use, the T68 SplitFire can shoot RAP4's reusable rubber
balls, which give suspects a little negative reinforcement, or
capsaicin-filled powder balls that can accurately incapacitate one
suspect in a crowd up to fifty meters away...or beyond if you're a good
enough shot.
The real innovation in the T68 comes not from its balance and cosmetics,
its M4-like ergonomics or the host of training and tactical ammunition,
or even the onboard hidden air source...but from the fact that with the
T68 SplitFire, you can carry two different types of ammunition onboard
simultaneously and easily choose which type is right for the current
threat condition. Use rubber balls to dissuade individual antagonists in
a group...and if the less lethal use of force situation escalates,
immediately switch to capsaicin balls at the spin of a dial. Switch back
as needed.
The T68 SplitFire features a rotating collar in the breech that, by
spinning that dial, accepts ammunition from either an 18 round
detachable magazine, or a 200 round bulk loader. Either can be used
alone, but when used together, this award-winning setup gives you the
power to switch projectiles immediately...and without taking your hands
off the SplitFire, or your eyes off the action.
When you need a tactical simulator that's less expensive to purchase,
less expensive to operate, and safer to train with than an M4 carbine...
When you need to be able to train in borrowed or rented spaces without
damaging the surroundings... When you need another option in less-lethal
use of force scenarios...
You need the T68 SplitFire from RAP4. |
